Relocation Agent Network: Speaker Line Up 2015

Packed with industry updates, best practices and recommendations for you to take away and use in your own businesses, you won't want to miss out on the 2015 Relocation Agent Network National Conference.

And this year's speaker line up is one of our strongest yet...

Caspar Berry

After starring in Byker Grove and studying Economics and Anthropology at Cambridge, Caspar began his adult career as a screenwriter. Then, at the age of 25, he made a life-changing decision and became a professional poker player in Las Vegas. Now retired as a poker player, he retains many of the lessons he learnt and applies them directly to business.

Caspar identifies risk as the single most important, yet least understood factor, in turning potentially innovative managers into dynamic leaders. Following the global economic crisis, Caspar argues that the priority now is not to avoid risk altogether, but to better understand and calculate it.

At the Conference... Caspar will offer tools (not rules), to demonstrate the difference between a calculated risk and a gamble, how to balance short and long-term goals and how to make the most of opportunities.

Nick Wheeler

Nick Wheeler is the founder and managing director of Charles Tyrwhitt shirts, a company he established while at university, that is now a full-scale multi-channel retailer and a leading British brand. Selling formal shirts via mail order whilst at university (because he thought he could make a better shirt than anyone else), Nick kept the business going for eight years before going bust. A valuable lesson learned. He started again, opened his first shop, and became leader in a new market for formal, tailored shirts. He now sells shirts and suits both online and through stores in Europe and the US.

At the Conference... Nick will discuss how being quick off the mark is not always the best business policy, how anyone can start a business and his passion for a well-cut shirt!

Roger Martin-Fagg

Following feedback received after our 2014 Conference, Roger Martin-Fagg returns as this year’s keynote economist. Roger worked as an economist for the New Zealand Government and returned to the UK to work in the air transport industry before teaching strategy and economics at the Henley Management College. He specialises in making economic activity, trends and indicators understandable to non-economists, cutting through the jargon to reveal what the numbers really mean. Roger has designed and facilitated strategic management programmes for companies including PowerGen, Lloyds Banking Group, EDS, and The Economist. He is also the author of Making Sense of the Economy, a practical explanation aimed at those who are not economists.

At the Conference... Roger will combine his insight into financial and policy worlds, with management strategy. He will also provide delegates with an economic outlook, and what businesses should do to prepare.
